Customer Service

"Take care of Mrs. Smith. She's our customer, the person with an emergency, the one who called the fire department to make a bad day better."

Received the following from a satisfied customer:

11/6/07

East Brunswick Fire Dept,

My Wife and I want to thank you and command you for your thoroughly professional and competent performance.  On July 20, 2007, at 1:00 am, our carbon monoxide alarm went off.  I called 911and my wife and dog and I left the house.  Within minutes, fire engines and police cars arrived.  I told the firemen our alarm went off and opened the door to bring them into my house.  They told me I couldn't go in.  As I opened the door, a strong odor of gas hit me.  The firemen opened every window and door from the basement to the second floor and ventilated the house.  They discovered I had accidently slightly opened the kitchen stove gas, but not enough to trigger the igniter.  So the house was filling with gas.  The finding was "100 ppm or greater, a potentially (lethal) level of carbon monoxide".  Within an hour, we were allowed to reenter our home.  Not one window decoration was damaged.  We marvel at the (quiet), efficient, courteous performance of the East Brunswick Fire Company.

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,

Flo and Frank Kelly
